Moon Kazi
Moon graduated as a dental hygiene-therapist at the University of Edinburgh, the only four-year honours degree in this subject in Scotland. She completed a year of work experience in Fife before taking a full time position in Edinburgh. As a hygiene-therapist Moon provides treatment for children and adults, in non-surgical periodontal therapy and restorative dentistry.
She is passionate to bring patient-centred dental care with a holistic approach that involves minimal invasive dentistry and high-quality oral health care. She continues to keep up to date with the current British Society of Periodontology on delivering pain free periodontal therapy. She completed a course on non-surgical Periodontal Treatments with Dental Lasers, that involves using non-invasive BIOLASE technology for treating periodontitis.
“Reception and dental staff are very professional as well as friendly – good at listening & understanding as well as being kind & caring”
Moon is a person with many hobbies and interests outside of dentistry. She loves to travel and explore new places, and also enjoys sports such as skiing and kayaking.
When she’s feeling stressed, she likes to unwind by playing the piano. But most of all, Moon loves spending time with her friends, whether it’s playing board games or cooking a delicious meal together.“Best dentist I’ve been too in Edinburgh. I’ve been registered to at least 5 different dentists across Edinburgh due to moving house and the Links one is the best. Very polite and friendly staff, spacious clean building, nice choice of magazines while you wait. Feel like advice is never patronising. Appointments are generally easy to make.”
